the DD-6 Delay pedal has a looper on it. it's nothing too fancy, but it'll do simple loops for you.

bassman is probably right. w/ electric guitars, it matters more what pickups and amps you are using.

...Split-Coil Humbuckers. If you want probably the BEST clean tone I've ever heard, get some humbuckers that allow you to split the coils (DiMarzios or PRS from my experience)....you'll be amazed.
