That's not true. It's not custom. It's just an old "version" of 914.

As you probably know Taylor make the 914 model alittle different than they used to. The most noticeable changes are the inlay and the black headstock, but there are a few sonic changes including different top wood (sitka spruce instead of engelmann). Do you think the Taylor 914 has alot less bass performance than the Martin HD28V? And how would you describe the key differences between those guitars? You Never Know is in raised-b tuning, not baritone. Listen According to this link: http://www.dmbtabs.com/faq.php?id=7 if you want to play You Never Know/Stay or Leave and some others, you either need a "raised B guitar" or either you can re-string your guitar.
