It seems to me like those Lossless files are still in the Windows Media format, which does really suck...that means converting it if you ever want to use it on anything except the computer with plugins...and that means losing a great deal of quality...

Record one...makes it really easy and it can be the tempo that you want...and it doesn't have to be super-quality...just hook up your guitar to your computer microphone and use a sound recorder

The reason they are mediocre is that James Taylor fingerpicks everything, and to be able to play like him, you have to be ridiculous at fingerpicking. It is definitely a skill everyone should know. I wish I could fingerpick better...playing some James Taylor would be awesome! Probably the most you'l...

Since everyone knows it, you could always play "Free Falling" by Tom Petty

Or you could get some Allman Brothers and play Midnight Rider...great song

Or if people know the song, Ramble On by Led Zeppelin is good

And you can't go wrong with Jack Johnson

I love the way Dave plays down there, and it actually got me into the habit of doing it. It just sounds so much more acoustic than playing up higher. It is not right for every song, though. And I have never broken a string from playing down there...but then again I make sure to change my strings pre...

Jack and G.Love is a good one. Also Jack and Ben! They are an insane duet...I had the privelege of seeing one of the first performances of "High Tide or Low Tide" that they did together. It was one of the best covers I have ever heard. Their voices go so well together, and Ben Harper's slide guitar...

And what's really cool is I just learned all that stuff for AP Physics...it was the AP exam, too...If you have a problem understanding exactly what a harmonic is, open up a physics book.

Artificial harmonics are also really cool but require a little more work and coordination

Usually the first and/or last chord in the song is the key of the song. Otherwise just mess around, find out what sounds right, and see what scale(s) those notes are in. And remember that every major key has a relative minor that is three half steps down, so both scales work on that

Luckily they found the breast cancer early enough that they were able to get rid of it. Because she went ahead and did chemotherapy and radiation treatments, there is almost a 99% chance that she will never see the cancer again. She is fine, and we are recovering as a family. I am happy to say that ...

I'm not trying to get sympathy or anything. It's been five years since my father's death and a little over 2 since my stepfather's, and I am definitely over it. I just want to make sure that people realize that they need to love everything they can, because one day it really won't be there...take ad...

Here's my definition for love: It's the feeling I get when I think about shaving my head with my father right before he died of brain cancer just because I didn't want him to go bald alone. It's the feeling I get when I think about playing basketball with my stepfather right before he died. It's the...
