my band is currently using two JBL JRX125's with a JBL JRX118S 18" sub. If you're looking at size setup you're going to need a power amp as well. A powered mixer wouldn't be practical to fuel this big of a system. for the mixer we're actually skimping right now and using the Behringer XENYX 1202 (12...

Refretting a strat (just one fret)
So some drunk fuckhead at a bar knocked my guitar over last weekend and I need to either repair or replace the 3rd fret. (Landed on the corner of a table and the b string literally dug right into the fret and left a huge gouge) Has anyone done this kind of repair work on a fender strat? Do you know ...

me and my friend jeff recorded a rough take of a song i wrote a few weeks ago tonight....i played guitar and bass and jeff played drums. i wrote some lyrics but they were later determined to suck so i put a rough lead track over the song instead to fill in the empty spaces. once i get some lyrics do...

Re: Pentatonic progression and lead
The answer to that question can depend on a lot of things, but I'll name some that pop to my head... Imin IVmin V7 Imin (use Em, Am, B7, Em with the Em minor pentatonic scale.) Imin III IVmin V7 (Em, G, Am, B7) what you are going to end up noticing is that the minor pentatonic works well for lines t...

good decision, my only advice is to...not expect your first guitar to be a masterpiece, but instead a huge step in the right direction, a badass project, and a great learning experience. second, buy a shitload of clamps, you will need them. are you planning on making the neck and fretboard? the fret...
