but isn't there a differnce between hitting the bass note and slapping the bass string to make the percussive sound? Check out the video and you'll see he slaps it every so often and it's not him playing the bass note.

Cause it's driving me nuts that i can't get strums down for songs and just want to play a song that actually strums like the actual song. =0
