i don't like how they play along with pre-recorded orchestra/guitar/keyboard tracks. sucks the energy out of the performance for me. either hire some touring musicians or stick to instrumentation you can actually play live.

couple things that helped me cut way down on string-breaking when re-tuning a lot - always play for at least a few minutes before changing it's tuning, and twist the tuning pegs slowly. go up a quarter step, let it set for a couple seconds or so, and repeat until you get to where you need to be. may...
