Re: First original, please listen & critique: "Until"

People aren't very good at commenting in the music critique section, so I wouldn't hold your breath. I like this though. Its simple, but its nice. I like the increase in dynamics at the end, a lot of songs these days don't have any dynamic changes at all. (especially when you look at hip hop/pop on ...

Original Song: Green Buddah

Okay, my friend Andy and I decided we wanted to try and write a song in an alternative tuning. This song is in open Bminor, (DBDF#BD). We kind of were just messing around on the guitar part and then decided to write out some rediculous words that rhymed at every line. The song kind of turned from re...

These are great. I envy piano players. Anything more than just chords is a stretch for me.

okay, you gave me a lot of ideas about the first one, so here are a couple songs we are trying to develope. This first one I wrote, and the recording is all me, havent had a chance to record it with the both of us playing together yet. (this is why the solo basically just follows the notes in the ch...

hey thanks a lot. If it sounds like we are fairly together its probably because i've known him my entire life and he is the one who basically taught me guitar. I have just started to try and write some songs the past summer because Andy writes the majority of the songs we play together, or we just d...

yah, i like it too. i've never tried to learn this song, but I was pumped when he played it at the one show I made it to this year (bonner springs, kansas). I got to see what all the hype was about for the song. Its really a high energy one.

Original song.. like some help on it

My friend Andy and I play music together a lot for fun but we definately are no band or anything. This is a little song I wrote when I was bored sitting at the cafeteria where I worked over the summer (a hospital). The lyrics are pretty dumb like most of my songs, hah, and Andy heard the song for th...

that his lyrics are not just "ramblings", but that it takes a person of true intellect to comprehend. And that is obviously why they have that opinion. haha that might shut em up also a sharp punch to the bridge of the nose helps. depends on whether u want a peaceful solution or a more satisfying a...

i think proudest monkey is so hard because its so simple. i lose rhythm in the vocals or the guitar. lie in our graves is hard to sing because the vocals jump around so much. dave can jump an octave from one sylable to the next. but my list would be... 1. JTR or Oh 2. Tripping Billies (i always thou...

I believe Tim plays a D mixolydian scale for warehouse. LIOG, I would assume you could just play a D major scale maybe experiemnt with D minor pentatonic. Just for information... a D major scale would sound fine over the song which is in the key of B minor (D's relative minor), but B minor and D mi...

i don't know why people have troubles singing/playing tripping billies at the same time. the guitar part follows the vocals fairly closely in the verse. but nevertheless, i think liog would but a fun one. I wouldn't do the long jam very long just because it would be kind of boring with no other inst...
