tempos of DMB's songs over the years

I don't know if its just me, but when I listen to some of DMB's songs from like 94'-99' compared to how they are played now, it seems like the band used to play a lot of their songs much faster. When I say faster I mean, the tempos of the songs. For example, What Would You Say, All Along the Watchto...

I don't know how many here have purchased the new Dave and Tim DVD live at Radio City Hall, but I did the other day and its awesome. Anyways, to my question, is it just me or why does Dave's guitar sound so much quieter than Timmy's on the DVD? I mean for some songs you couldn't even hardly hear Dav...

I was wondering if anyone knows what song is being played after the song Recently on Live at Red Rocks 95'. the song generally sounds the same, but Carter's drums seems too fast for the chorus. they should have kept it the way it was last summer.

I heard that Dave uses medium gauge guitar strings on his Taylor 914C, but on Taylor Guitars website, they strongly encourage that you do not use mediums on a Grand Auditorium guitar. Because I guess it puts to much stress on the top or something because GA's braces are lighter and built for lighter...
