oh nice. I haven't been able to find out where the DX1K is made..I like it for the wood, and the look -- the guitar center near me will have to order it if I want it from them.

Replacing a fender strat pot

I'm trying to find information on the differences between 250, 500k and 1meg. I have to replace my volume control pot since one of the prongs broke and the volume nob will not stay on.

If anyone can tell me it would help me out..thanks.

I've played all 3 DX modles from martin. Even though they are laminated back& sides, you do notice a difference with the tone. The koa and rosewood modles sound mouch better than the mahogony version. The koa is warm and midrangy, while the rosewood is deeper and richer. As well, the mahagony versi...

Not sure if I like the DX1 for the lack of fretboard dots. Played one at a GC near me and it felt too cheap (although it does have the martin name) for your price range I would look into Takamine's. Lots of people stand by them and they DO sound pretty good. The 000X1 and Dx1k are slightly differen...
