Doesn't look like the video is showing up now, but I keep a downstroke-upstroke pattern going throughout the main riff to help myself keep time (i.e. 'wreckless mind, don't throw away your playful beginnings' etc.). I think it's a 16th note pattern (4 notes per beat). It's good to play this pattern ...

Re:

Does anyone know where I can get a hold of the Till We Dance Away compilation? My brother and I used to listen to it together, and neither of us have it anymore. It might still be up at the torrent site dreamingtree.org, but I haven't been there in a while. Registration is free. If I had a good int...

Yeah, I fingerpick a lot and get really a really nice, bright tone with just a pretty normal nail-length, nothing coke-fiendishly long. You can still get great tone with shorter nails.

I just have Audacity, and I was looking to get a couple Shure SM57s (those seem to be one of the best mics you can get for the price)

And thanks for the response, Sims. That's exactly the kind of thing I'm looking for.

New to recording - cheap interface?

So I don't really know anything about recording and I've been looking to get started recording mostly my acoustic. I know I need some kind of mixer/preamp to record to my computer. I'm wondering what mixer/preamp/interface some of you would recommend for under $150? I'm obviously not concerned about...

Re:

I'm re starting after a long time not playing. I was an acoustic only player (though a couple of times I helped out a mates band. They were deperate, but a rhythm guitar in my hands, gave me a chord list and just prayed I didn't lose them next week's gig). So for the last week or so I've been runni...
