Thinking about switching over to bass

I guess this is a question for you guys that play both guitar and bass (or just bass.) I'm really starting to think that bass would be a better instrument for me. I've been playing guitar for 8 years now; and I really don't have incredibly agile fingers (never could pull off shredding)...I think my ...

Yeah, cool edit is great, thats what i use, lots of decent effects, a powerful equalizer and lots and lots of tracks. If you are just going to record guitar, i would suggest looking into the line 6 guitar tone port. It comes with all sorts of virtual effects pedals that sound pretty good. With some...

The playing is actually really good. Tell us about your recording setup, there may be ways to get this to sound better. The main problem is you only have one instrument and you are trying to make a very deep layered sound. Its possible but very hard. Again, your guitar playing is very good, i enjoy...

This is my favorite Zeppelin song so forgive me if I come off a little harsh. The mix, like you said, sounds like shit. What instruments are you playing? Its a cool take on the song, but I think it would be much easier to record if it was all acoustic. I was also looking forward to hearing vocals (...

Led Zeppelin cover - Battle of Evermore

I have to apologize for the quality of some parts - the mix sounds much better if you use headphones. I decided to sit down with my roomates Mac and try out Garage Band...put this together: http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?action=download&ufid=C65DD91C7382F7D0 Let me know what you think

While i love dylan, the thing i love about springsteen is the working class point of view he writes from, Dylan, especially later in his career was much more of an elitist poet. Hehe...point taken. It's a matter of preference then. (Like most things are...) The thing I love about Bob though is that...

Dylan.

Hell, Bruce has said many times that Dylan is one of his biggest inspirers. But Springsteen's lyrics are top notch, most of the time.

thanks for the comments guys, I really appreciate it.

Going to keep working on the vocals, when I have the chance. People seem to be much more critical off of these boards (in the 'real' world)

Dylan cover - Its All Over Now, Baby Blue

I realize its a somewhat common cover, but I did it anyway. Don't really sing much in general; but I give it a try now and then.

First Original

Hey, I'm not new to the board, I just had to reregister because I forgot my old info/email. I've never really written originals and I did this last night when I couldn't sleep. Please give it a listen and tell me what you think; whether I should leave some parts out, if its a piece of crap, etc... (...
