Yeah I'm with you and I think it's great that people are looking so hard into it to get the best possible tab. To me though the higher octave sound seems more like what Tim might play. But I also am not the best at figuring songs out on my own, I'm just alright at playing them once someone has done ...

although the other thing would be that i could imagine it being a pain to tune that 12 string to a baritone tuning, so i guess if it wasn't in standard he would have used his veillette

just the deep tone he is getting seems unlikely even on that beautiful 12 string on those high strings. the other reason, as i said, is that it seems his fingerings on some of those notes and chords in the D+T and Dave solo videos is lower. interesting attempt. if you watch though, that guitar can't possible be tuned to standard. if you put a capo on 5 and play similar chord shapes to your but in the C position i think you nailed it. Your notes are all right but I think dave is playing one string lower than your tab. Seems most evident...

the vid is a bit different from what we've seen in regular tabs.. the basis on all the older tabs are acurate, just small changes... I believe kanter is on it already, he was in hot persuit of the video earlier today
