the trick to crash is the get the bass down first. maintain the chord shape, and just play the bass notes along with the song. when you can do that comfortably, just add the flicker of the wrist after every bass note

dave probably has no clue (or very little) what goes into his amplification scheme. He has guitar tech's and sound engineers that do the technicals for him. On tour he doesn't even change strings. He plays the music, thats it. For that matter, there is a lot more in the pipeline than just the pickup...
