I'm just curious as to how most of you learned how to sing, was it through private singing lessons, teaching yourself, or so on. I'm thinking about taking private lessons to maybe help me out. This is what really makes me want to get out my guitar and work on writing my own stuff. I'm not much for advice but i do think the songs sound really good, i really like your voice. Awesome job and keep it up, i'm looking forward to hearing more in the future. Peace.

I would say you would use the scales in improv mostly, although I havn't gotten a whole lot into it. I suppose you could use it in writting song although i havn't seen it that commonly used. Peace.

Burgettstown PA is number 1 on my list for this summer, although i'm not a warehouse member so i'll have to try other means of getting tickets i guess. Worked for 12/22/02 so maybe i'll get lucky and get some again.

Thats what i thought at first too but i'm watching a video of him playing and it doesn't look like he's using his other fingers. It almost looks like he's alternating between his thumb and index finger on the other notes but its to fast for me to really tell.

Anyone know how Mayer is finger picking Neon on the verse? I know he slaps down with his thumb on the bass string, but what about the other notes? Sometimes it looks like he is just hitting the other notes with his thumb or picking with his index finger. Anyway i'm not quiet sure what he's doing any...

I'd say go with writting your own stuff, thats what i eventually want to get into. I usually play a bunch of dave songs like everyone else, and whatever else i'm in the mood to learn. It's a good start for me i think, i've been playing since the summer. Altough i don't think i'm a good guitar player...

Pretty good, I really liked it. Keep up the singing, nothing better than learning a song and getting the singing down with it. I really liked the ending too. Maybe i'll start working out my singing soon, personally i think i suck after recording and hearing myself. Anyway keep up the good work. Peace.

I was going to say Dashboard Confessional too, they have a bunch of stuff 1/2 step down. Not to difficult in my opinion but still fun .
