to add to the above post... i guess what i'm asking is if maury's gives it a quality set -up, should i be worried about having not played it before hand? would you trust maury's set-up over a guitar center? (the only local shop that has a hd-28v) has anyone ever purchased a guitar, whether it was fr...

buying from maury's music

has anyone bought a guitar from them? i called them for a quote and it's the best price i've found, but i'm weary of buying a 2k+ instrument without playing it first. the price includes set-up and shipping.

please share your thoughts/experiances

[quote="Yakko"] Its just a lot of hammer on's, use a Powertab version of it, you will understand the song easier. Dont even try to play it at full tempo cause its hard at first. Mind you I had no trouble with it and its one of the first DMB songs I ever learned. You need quick fingers in order to g...

do you need special strings for raised B? i tried to tune up, but there was too much tension and was afraid they would snap long before i could get the low E up to B.

maybe use an A string for the lowest string?

http://www.dmbtabs.com/boards/viewtopic.php?t=28021 thanks, i've actually seen this, and it was a big help in guiding my research. however, that is not the answer to the question... i'm asking what you play, when you sit down with a guitar at a shop, to get a full idea of the tone and playability.

what should you play/check when trying out a new quitar?

i've been doing a lot of research over the past few weeks, and have narrowed down my choices for a new guitar. this is the first time i've ever bought a guitar, and i'm not quite sure what to play or check out on the guitar when i'm at the shop. is there something specific i should do? or should i j...
