what is important theory to play the guitar?

hi all at first i want to excuse for my english....4 years 4 lessons per week ar not really much... now to the topic i'm playing the guitar now for nearly 4 years. i've self taught and have never been to school etc... today i can "play" the guitar .... chords, a lot of songs (even some tricky ones),...

maybe he's just waiting a while untill jkanter has tabbed them....
