Alexi Murdoch. There are very few of his tabs out so you'll have to learn it by ear, not to mention its all in alternate tunings.

Alexi Murdoch Guitar Tuning

http://youtube.com/watch?v=l4jzS1tcFIA Any idea what tuning he uses? I know the chords are a Cmaj something and an Fmaj something, but I haven't been able to figure out the tuning. Edit: actually the chords are Dmaj and Gmaj. Not sure what i was thinking before. In addition even if you have no clue...

I asked the same question in recording and got nothing. Ive been looking at a presonus compressor which is a $100. Nady makes one too, but im not too sure about it. A processor with a compressor would be nice, have you found anything yet?

Compressor/ Vocal Processor

Ive got a tascam DP-01, which doesnt have any effects built in. Can anyone recommend a good compressor or vocal processor with a compressor?

The cheapest option is to do the DL-4. Thats the only way I know of to do half speed on the fly, which you need for beams of light. Other than that you could buy a boss or jamman and a delay pedal, but that really increases the price.

Howie uses the DL-4. I havent owned any line 6 equipment, so I cant speak for things like durability other than what Ive read on musicansfriend reviews. Other than those three pedals theres the Gibson Echoplex, the Lexicon JamMan, (both of which are expensive and hard to come by) and the Boomarang. ...

The Line 6 Dl-4, the green one, is the only way I know of to do Howie stuff. It currently runs for 249. Ebay for cheaper. There are a few threads around with information about it or you can look here: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Guitar/Effects?sku=150380 . I havent used one of those as on...

I agree. Not cheap though. I wish I had that kind of money for music equipment.

Ive got the Boss and I like it, but I would deffinately go with the JamMan. Theyre basically the same, but the jamman is much more versatile. Its got more space, expandable space on top of that, and I think youll be happier with it than the boss. Keep in mind if you want to do howie day stuff that t...

I took a theory class last semester. For sharps we used Fay Can Get Drunk At Every Bar. Theory is intersting stuff but it always seems the way they teach it is better suited to piano, probally as it should be though.
