So I've made this song my "project" for the rest of the year. I am fine with the speed, but I can't get the 5-5-2-3-2 part to sound quite. I don't know all the technical musical terms, so it is difficult to explain. This part sounds almost as if there are hammer-ons...I know he's not doing any here,...

No, you've got the basic idea. I was only looking at live releases and it was between CP and WOTR. The quality on both are amazing, and will nice editing skills I made a version where it's almost impossible to tell the difference. It's awesome, but I feel so dirty inside for editing it.
