I play Drums 1st... and both guitar and bass as well. Being a drummer i know a lot about not having fun because there is no one to play with. But you just have to be creative and love the music your playing. Bass IS about grooving, so your not going to be arranging solo parts that dazzle people ( mo...

Not sure what you drumming experience is... but although the snare seems most prevalent in this, #1 is the bass. keep the kick on 1 and the "and" of 3. The snare is mostly flams on the downbeats, with some drum corps style flairs mixed in... as long as you keep it loose and keep the kick going it sh...

Re: Tim Outro on Dodo

Re: Dave's Martin: HD-28 or HD-28v?

Im not entirely sure if its the bracings that are herringbone or if its just the trim on the body. Basically I don't know what I'm talking abou...

Re: RECORDING A LIVE CONCERT

oh good lord... well. On a budget I've done just about everything. If you dont have the ability to record a shit ton of channels and mix it down. I recommend running an XY setup http://www.wikirecording.org/XY_Stereo_Microphone_Technique Run it into whatever device you plan on using for recording. I...

Re: Too Much

But just hit the x87888 real quick its a 7 chord and resolves into the one. playing a 7 like that over the 1 chord would sound odd if you dont ...

Re: DMB COVER SET LIST

aside from what has already been said about covers not playing of covers I think thats a good set list. As far as the covers go, it really wont make that much of a difference, but in case you haven't considered taking them out you really should think about it. If you have thought about it and want t...

Re: CALLING ALL DRUMMERS!

drummers spend the most...not necessarily instrument vs. instrument. but in upkeep and experimenting, both the costs of drumheads (skins) and cymbals have been mention. Good quality and sounding heads and cymbals are relatively expensive and considering that the more you play the more often you brea...
