So subtle you'd hardly know the song is about sex... I was just about to say what a ludicrous comment that was. Rapunzel is more of a subtle sexual song, Hunger is most definitely not.
Okay, I see your point, Hunger is not exactly a subtle song. Maybe I should have...

I also think that Dave really should stick to writing the songs. Stephan had some good ones back in the day, but Hunger For The Great Light has made me lose a bit of faith in his ability to put out a decent set of lyrics. Not to be picky, but Dave wrote the lyrics for Hunger; Stefan just came up wi...

I don't know if anyone else here read the Rolling Stone article before Stand Up came out talking about their experience in the studio with Batson, but there were some very revealing details in that story. When the journalist came to the studio, he commented that there were joints being passed around...

I got into DMB back in 95, after UTTAD came out. I heard a clip of WWYS on a commercial for a local radio station and that was enough to hook me. Usually I like to hear several songs from an album of an artist that I don't already know, but from just a few seconds of that song I knew that they were ...
Keller Williams plays that guitar when he plays with the Keels but his doesnt have the bottom four strings, he takes them out. Sweet sounding instrument. What does he do with a two stringed guitar?? Fede
Since no one has answered you yet: the guitar in question has...

In an interview in Rolling Stone a while back about the Stand Up sessions, the journalist comments in the piece that there were joints going around the studio (I believe that Batson was rolling them) and that there was a pitcher of mushroom tea in the refridgerator in the studio. I almost did not be...

Two Step [i]is So Much To Say is a bit harder but not much. Start slow, put the parts together and in 2 or 3 days you should be able to play it well enough for any DMB fan to recognize.
I hope that you have been playing guitar for much longer than me because after 2 or 3 days I was still s...

I personally find the whole Oysterhead cd to be amazing. I love the fact that there is obviously two (well three actually) distinguishable influences in the songwriting. I find some of Primus stuff to be a little dark and disturbing, but with Trey's bubbly, energetic guitar on top of Les' darkness i...

Yeah, the Summer 03 tour was full of those. I wish they would switch it up more like that. They did ASTB into Stay, WWYS, LIOG, Ants and a few more. I agree. I heard them do ASTB into Stay and thought that it rocked. I was really surprised at first. It has gotten so that when I hear ASTB after SMTS...

No, thank you for all of the hard work that you have put into this site. Redemption song was one of the first songs that I learned. I have an easy version of it that my guitar instructor tabbed out for me. The chords for the verses basically go G, Em, C, C/B, Am and then again but this time it is G, Em, C, C/B, D. The chorus is all G, C, D and Em. Bob played it with more...

SMTS You slide from 3 to 5. 4 up to 6. And finish with 8 going back down towards 3. So I'm right then, some of the slides in this tab are marked in the wrong direction. I guess I should have specified that my question had more to do with reading the tab than with actually playing the song. I have n...

I get what you are all saying, but I think that maybe some of you need to look at the tab itself to understand what I am trying to say as I seem unable to explain. I'll try again though. The 3\5 and 4\6 slides are up from 3 to 5 etc. That is obvious. But then the 8\ slide at the end of the intro say...

Help with a couple of the tabs on this site
So I'm confused as usual, but at least this time I know what about. I've been working on Crash and SMTS lately. Something seems off about the tabs for these songs on this site. With Crash the question is simple, is the high E string played during this song? The tab shows it is not played, but to me ...
