Re: Can a standard guitar be tuned to the Gryphon?

I've pretty much gone to playing all baritone guitars and so am selling my standard guitars and I was hoping to try something different with one of my fave models before selling it. I know that you can take a standard guitar and make it "raised B." It sounds nice, but not really what I am going for...

Re: Ranking the DMB studio albums now that BWatGGK is out

I know it's personal preference... but no way. Did I say I don't like the LWS or Busted Stuff? I still listen to both a lot! I really do like them both. I just enjoy BWGK more. I might have liked the LWS more if it was finished, and if the band didn't sound like they wanted to die while playing it ...

Re: Ranking the DMB studio albums now that BWatGGK is out

I still like BWGK more than Busted Stuff, LWS, Everyday, and Stand Up. It is still tied with Crash for third.

And I think it's one of the best. I still consider this album on par with Crash, and right below UTTAD and BTCS. The more I listen to it, the more I love it. I even LOVE You and Me now, but to each his own.

Re: Funny the Way It Is

guitar_frk, your chorus is dead on (I'll add the slide from the 2-to-3 on the A to start the chorus). The lead up to the bridge isn't right though, you can see Dave playing the 2nd fret on the D string at 2:39 & 3:23 in the Today Show vid. So I'll keep the tab the way it is. And I tweaked your brid...

I love the Dreaming Tree studio and live. However, I miss Roi's flute on it now. Jeff is great, but it's just not like how Roi did it. I listen to the album version, and his flute is so haunting it makes the song so much more mournful.

Re: **Big Whiskey and The GrooGrux King**

It debuted right after Corn Bread on the D&T tour. It was the 27th song they were working on in the studio, hence #27. Dave also said live that it feels like an older song, which may explain using numbers to title the song.

After watching the Jazz Fest, Beacon, Jimmy Fallon, Today Show, and live amateur videos some more, I am sure it is this: e------------------------------------------------------------- B------------------------------------------------------------- G------x-x-3-3----5------x--x----------3-3-3-3----5--...

Re: Funny the Way It Is

i've changed the bridge now to be accurate. I think this tab is pretty much complete! thanks for everyone's help and constructive criticism. The chorus should be this: [code]e------------------------------------- B--x--------x----x--------x----------- G--5--------5----4--------4--------x-- D--5----...
