I dont know anything about recording... what else would i need besides a mic? can someone help me out with a good recording setup that is not expensive but also is not a piece of garbage. it is just for fun not professionally, i dont need expensive equipment. thanks for the help so far.

I will be using the mic mostly for recording guitar but I also want to use vocals with it. Its going to stay in my room so I dont need it to be heavy duty. Im kind of going towards the Shure SM57 but if anyone knows any good mics for recording instruments that are under $100 let me know. Thanks.

pain in my thumb

just recently everytime i play tough stretches like in songs crash and satellite... after maybe a min of constant playing i get a sharp pain in the base of my thumb. by the time i get to the chorus in satellite the pain is unbearable. i was just wondering if anyone had any advice on this kind of pain?

the sliding and squeaking on the electric guitar was really bad. it was painful to listen, it was piercing my ears. i only listened to about 20 secs and you voice was awesome. i always wished i had a voice.
