Re: Returning the many favors
Worthy of a sticky, I'd say. Nice resource (or is that race horse?)

Nothing against Taylors
Yeah, there truly is nothing like a Martin for solo or intimate playing. The Taylors are just too bright to stand to listen too for too long. I took my Martin up to a Taylor road show up here in Santa Rosa and played their top of the line one-off custom and there was no comparison. But if you're try...

Not easy at first
I struggled with this one for a while, too. The easy part is that your strumming hand never changes speed. The difficult part is that the verse is in 3 and the chorus is in 4. This kind of change where the 3 turns into 4 (123123 123123 123123 123123 becomes 1234 1234 1234 1234 with the same eigth no...

You want something hard to play? It's not a guitar song, but a lead line by Frank Zappa called "Black Page". We used to use it in our Solfegge class at the music school at CalArts. It's about the densest line I've ever seen. We use to use it for its rythmic complexity, with lots of metric modulsatio...

Looking for good solo Fool To Think vid
Anyone have a copy of or link to a good solo FTT video? This song just tore me apart after getting out of a situation just like the song talks about and I've go to learn it to get through it. That and it'sjust a rocking syncopated song.

Nice Collection
Nice set of guitars. Can you play? It would be a waste if you couldn't. My step-father died with 13 Martin guitars in his collection. Tax man got them ALL! At least he could play them all, though.

Anyone feel like a tabbing challenge?
Would anyone like to try to tab a Pat Metheny cover of the main theme song from the movie Cinema Paradiso (this is a real chicken-take-her-pants-off instrumental tune). For Pat Metheny it's actually pretty simple, but I don't have the time to try it myself. I can get it too you via Napster if you fe...
