[quote="catho"]Your replies are making me interested.. How much crap can it be, really? The only thing I learned were some fills to play over Dave songs. The title "Guitar Method in the Style of Dave Matthews Band" is misleading. Not once did I find a Dave riff in the entire tape. It's like this gu...

Schertler Unico Not truly an amp but this baby is sweet! 180W with built in mixer with both mic and inst inputs. Rather heavy but it sounds heavenly, I tried it with a really cheap guitar with a 15 year old pickup system and it made it sound fantastic! Maybe not in your pricerange but it's somethin...

this is probably a really stupid question but what is a preamp? Hah, I'm wondering that myself at the moment. bighuk, if you want a "authentic" acoustic sound you're gonna need several effects. Without them it wont sound right. The effects would be, Equalizer, Chorus (a more transparent one),...

"The job of the preamp is to amplify a low level signal, perhaps from a microphone or pickup." Looked it up, don't know whats wrong with what I said. Let me go out on a limb here, we're not mixing up impedance converters and signal boosters? Because I do that sometimes, heh.. While we're at it, I'd ...

[quote="catho"]Why would you think (because thats all that we do here, no matter if you think otherwise we are all just guessing here) that they use "more" inferior parts than a 100 dollar mixer? Actually, some of us have been using sound equipment, recording, and running live sound on mixers worth...

[quote="mattinbeloit"]i realize a few of you have said that it is cheap but give me some reasons, i'm not trying to be an ass it's just the people that own behringer stuff seem to be happy and their stuff shows no signs of wearing out. behringer uses inferior parts to sell their products at a low p...

Get a BOSS GE-7 Equalizer or a pedal along those lines. Has to have more than 3 freqs though so you can notch out the highest stuff. There's 3 setups I would recommend. 1# Get a compressor, an overdrive, and an EQ. The compressor should be used as a boost so you'll want the attack to be quite quick ...

Just be sure to know what you want to do with it. If its just for playing infront of your friends sometimes and maybe do a gig every six months it doesnt need to be as badass as the SWR. :)

good stuff but i still prefer the Jimi or SRV version. and to the "better than hendrix" notion, he should keep in mind that its easy to improve on something SOMEONE ALREADY CAME UP WITH Plus the video wasnt better, lacked emotion. Jimi created it, so it had the passion and creativity = awesome. SRV...
