For those that might be confused since it wasn't mentioned in the original post of the tab, this song is in Dropped D. :) Nice tab, though, man. I know you didn't transcribe it, but thanks for posting. It's not a difficuly song by any means, I just need to figure out how those mutes fit with the tab...

I haven't received the set in the mail, yet, but I didn't know he was back to playing the HD28V again. I thought it was almost exclusively the DM3MD for D&T these days. That said, I'm glad it's back. That guitar is my favourite - and by "favourite", I don't mean out of Dave's guitars, I mean my abso...

Thanks very much for the help, everyone. I suppose M Audio is the way to go. If my local store doesn't carry it, I'm pretty sure they'd be able to order it in. I won't be able to update you anytime soon on how I made out with this, as it'll be a little while before I can scrape up the $150-$200 CAD ...

Thanks, man, very helpful. :) So, if I undertstand this right, instead of getting the pre and a new sound card (I'm currently using a nVidia nForce onboard card), I can just get a USB interface and that should do the trick? If this is the case, can you recommend a USB interface? I looked at the link...

Problems with mic recording

Hey, everyone, I'm new to home recording, so please bear with me. I went out today and bought a Shure SM-57 mic and an adapter so I could plug it into the mic port on my soundcard. My guitar doesn't have a pick up, so I'm just recording with the most basic of methods - playing next to the mic (about...
Tim's parts are pretty accurate, with just probably a couple of notes played in different strings (like in Stream I guess). Yeah, that tells you how foolish they are. Strem is such a slow song. I could tab it with my ears...hmm..well, without using my ears. Fede
I can on...

ok, i watched it. the main riff doesn't sound right.. and your guitar seems out of tune. but maybe it's just me. the video didn't work for me, probably don't have a codec or something i need to watch it (i'm not on my computer, so idk) Again, it doesn't sound right/out of tune because it's an eight...

Thanks. Again, apologies for it being a little rough, both in terms of playing and in terms of audio/video quality, but of it helps someone, great.

Now, any idea how to get it on the OurMedia site? I remember someone was PMing the password around when the site first started, but that was ages ago.

I just realized that most PC's won't be able to play that file. It doesn't look like anyone's interested, but I converted it to an XviD .avi, anyway. It should be fine, now:

Another tutorial video...(Warehouse)

I'm not sure if anyone can find a use for this, but I made a short video of myself playing Warehouse for a couple of my friends who wanted to learn it and they found it pretty helpful. It's made from a few different 15 sec clips (one for each section of the song) spliced together. It's probably a li...

I'm currently in the process of saving about $4000 (Canadian) and putting it towards either an HD-28V or 710, so, as you can probably tell by that statement, I'm currently undecided. That said, I can't even remember what a Taylor sounds like to me. However, I've played an HD-28V recently and, based ...
bah get a taylor Yeah, I'm still in the process of saving up, but I've got it narrowed down to a a HD-28V and 710. The Taylor 710 is about $1000 cheaper than the Martin. I"m currently saving up for a tak myself  Taks are nice. If you're inthe market for a Tak, you might also want to consider a Larivee. Anyway, thanks for all the kind words, everyone. Now that I can play most mediocre-difficult/hard songs with relative ease, it's time to tackle shit like Wareh...
