Pretty good...my suggestion would be to be more dynamic in your playing and change up the rythm to seperate the parts; fingerpick the verse and then break into a strum for the prechorus. You definitely keep a good rythm but the strumming pattern gets old. What happened to the french part at the end,...

I see the majority of professional players playing away from the soundhole...Besides the reasons already given, the sound itself has an unobstructed path to come out of when your hand isn't over the hole, letting the sound project and resonate much more...

That was a cool rendition...I thought your vocals were strong, and I was definitely digging the piano, and your guitar was solid as usual......

I did a recording of Don't Panic last year, you can have a listen here:

Here's a video that might help...You have to mute with both your strumming and fretting hands... It starts on: e----x---x---- b----x---x---- g----5---7---- d----5---7---- a----3---5---- e----x---x---- Then onto the chorus chords: e---(3)--x---x---10---- b----3---7---8----8---- g----0---7---7----7---...

Great Job Pat...One of my fav's as well...Guitar was solid and your voice had a nice McCartneyesque vibe to it...Only thing I would suggest would be to put more Oumff into the "Into the light of a dark black night" part...

In Audacity, there's some kind of option under "preferences" that you have to set....something like "playback track while recording new one"...it's as simple as clicking that option "on"

'HoneyBoy' Edwards...I saw him play in Monterey last week...He's 90 years old but still plays with fire...He told some great stories from back in the day, playing with the likes of Muddy Waters, Robert Lockwood and Robert Johnson...
