no trick to it, just alot of practise and time. It's fustrating I know, but practise doing both is the best advice I can give. There are tutorials on singing on some sites that I would recommend but when you first start to sing while playing (speically as a beginner which i'm just "assuming" you are...

Although I'm not a big fan of what the Band has done in this album, quit frankly i found almost every song quite uninspiring, I cant wait to see what dave will do with tim or butch in a duo setup, that is when dave really shines. I can name you a few songs from his older albums that I do not like an...

VH1 StoryTellers #2

I just found out that Dave played a set in NYC on the 17th with Butch Taylor for a taping of another VH1 storytellers for a venue of about 300. Now, I live in NJ, about 20 minutes from the city, and I had no clue this was going on. I heard it's his "fanclub" that got to hear about this deal. Did any...

does signficantly changing your action change how well your harmonics work? it did for mine and tuning my guitar now is quite the challange.

I only drop the stretch on E (D2) and the C# (G6) on the verse riff, not because i cant reach, but because it slows down my timing too much, sounds fine just hitting the C# and B but i agree, work on it long enough i wont have to anymore

i can play and sing to alot of his songs completely, but i'm what you call a sloppy player, meaning crisp notes arent that important to me, in fact to dave i worry more about timing and rhytmn than the notes

I also have small hands and it just takes some getting use to, for some songs i rearrange the chords, sometimes i skip some notes (like in tripping billies) but for the most part you just gotta muster the pain until it goes away

DMB Fans in NJ

Hey I'm looking to create a Dave and Tim cover band (among other artists as well), so I"m looking for another guitarist in Northern NJ. Nothing big or pro, mostly for fun, do hope to perform in public even if for free (less pressure to be exact) Mostly just to jam and learn, practise to perform. Ema...
