I have the dvd, and he never changes guitars, and there aren't any others by him on stage. Unless he has some off stage and the dvd just doesn't show him changing guitars, it's in dadgad. I don't think it cuts out him changing guitars either, cause it leaves in all the stupid shit he says between so...

Breaking strings from changing tunings.
So I broke the high e on both of my acoustics saturday night from going back and forth between standard and DADGAD. I'll tune to DADGAD and back maybe once every other day, or just leave one of the two in it for a few days. I've been breaking the high e while tuning back up lately though. Is there s...

He does remove the high G, making it an 11 string. Why he does this is beyond me. Interesting to think of his 11 string without the octave G and then the Martin McGuinn HD-7 with the added octave G. Thanks for posting the tab. I was suprised when i found it, it isn't very difficult to get the main t...

What tunings are those songs in? Doesn't seem to be dadgad. He uses DADGAD, but this song is in open C - CGCGCE, and capoed at the 4th fret. His website has a list of tunings in the tab section. The tab for this song on that song is wrong though, the tab for this version which is very accurate is a...

what kind of sound differences will you get between the rosewood vs mahogany and the Maple vs mahogany and spruce vs cedar? Rosewood = dark, loud, bassy. Mahogany = warm, nice midrange. Maple = bright, cuts through mix of band well. Spruce = good for strumming, dave style. Cedar = warm, quicker att...
