the amazing part is the harmonization and the melodic factor that goes along with each song. I wish i can write songs like him lol. btw, hes the teacher of andy mckee if you guys are into him.

Hello board! It's been a couple years since i've been on this board haha. Hope everyone is well. I've been getting into japanese fingerstyle guitar. like compositions of Masaaki Kishibe. Here are videos i posted, check it out!

blues scales are minor pentatonics with added blues notes.

it is much easier to play in major pentatonics with added blues notes.

Learn 12-bar. Improvise with it. 12-bar blues is fundamental i think. It will help you a lot.

also, listen to a lot of blues. Keep listening. Feel the rhythm. learn the effects of bends and slides.

and remember to listen to the background. follow the progression

yeah andy, to tell ya, i really dont know, it just comes. well for songs like Flashback, i work out the melody line first then bass line, but thats pretty fundamental.

no secrets really. it just comes when i am inspired.
