Bass Strings

Whats your favorite set of strings for bass? I've been hopping around all over, haven't really found any that i really care for.

Strange, I play for hours and hours a day, so my fingers are really built up....but with the warwicks at guitar center I was bleeding in literally minutes. My thumb (fretting hand) was also really getting ugly. I'm sure a wax job could fix the neck up.

[quote="bbatsell"] personally I wont touch IEMs because a lot of the jamming is too unpredictible. Im fine when it comes to time, just not fine when it comes to trying to hear my bass with my ears plugged. IEM doesn't stand for In-Ear Metronome, it stands for In-Ear Monitor. An IEM is precisely wha...

Warwicks

Is it just mean or do they all feel like their going to give you a giant splinter? Its probably just the strings they put on them at the factory, but even the body and kneck just wear at your fingers like your wouldn't believe. Anybody know what i mean? I almost bought one at guitar center today, bu...

They actually make those? That's like cheating X 10. Ah I wouldn't consider it cheating. Its just when I fill in for friends at big shows, those guys rely on me to be able to perform to the best of my ability. Its really a head ache on stage putting up with the noise and making sure I can hear each...

Ear Pieces

Hey guys,

Not even sure if these are made...but I think they are. You know how there are earpieces for onstag that play a metronome in your ear? Are there any that take the sound coming from your bass, and put it through an ear plug at adjustable volumes? Would be useful for large gigs.

Its already great. My opinion is the opposite - i think lyrics will kill it. It has a very strong sound and shouldn't be toned down by concrete approaches. I dont know, i just see songs like this as more of a feeling.

time signatures are set as beats to measures. So 4/4 would be 4 beats and 4 measures. Beats include mutes, rests everything. I know time signatures, i just have some trouble picking them out at time and I really cant seem to get a grasp on the complicated ones.
