Damn, you can learn something new everyday. I have been playing guitar for years with my action really low since I finger pick a lot and never knew you could do this. After switching to a position closer to the bridge right now, I got a lot less fret buzz on grey street and it sounds much more like ...

Anyone tune their 12-string down a half step? I find at normal tuning, the higher of the two G's, the highest open note on the guitar, always seems to break at standard tuning. I have talked to other people with some nice 12-strings like taylors and they seem to agree. Only problem is when you play ...

Thanks for the file. The quality is really good. If you are a member of yousend it, does it let you upload faster? I should get 45kb/s with comcast and its running no where close to that. I am trying to re-up it.

Does Dave play this on a 12-string with a capo? I don't have access to any video right now, so I apoligize if a video would clear up my question. I thought it had a 12 string sound. However, its hard enough to tune a 12-string to standard tuning given all the tension the neck puts on the strings. To...

I think that is the same model my father has. I will check next time I visit home. I know he got a fishman pickup installed and the sound is incredible. That guitar has so many different tones and the pickup seems to get all of them. The 3 wood neck looks really nice too.

I put on new strings yesterday and the problem went away. I decided I would try the Eric Clapton's Choice Medium Gauge, I personally think they sound amazing on my guitar. The D35 always had great warmth coming from the lower strings, but these strings help bring out the tones on the high strings too.

I think we solved the mystery then. The martin strings must have been medium strings and now the light strings are causing the probem. Switching from light to medium did the same thing to my last guitar, so it makes sense.

D-35 + New Strings = Fret Buzz, Help?

I purchased a D-35 two months ago and it came with a light gauge martin string, I believe. The guitar sounded amazing up until I change the strings. I put on D'darrio phospour bronze extended play light strings and I get horrible fret buzz now. If I strum extremely lightly, it does happen, but other...

I am surprised more people didn't like fool to think from the beginning. I feel I can relate to this song more than any other when it comes to lyrics. Digging girls who seem to not notice me is the story of my life, so I always enjoyed that song on Everyday and the Gorge. Funny thing is, my friends ...

With the chorus in Fool to Think, you either get it or you don't. If other time signatures come easy such as the 9/8 it is in, then its no problem. If you can't handle anything other than 4/4, I think it will be the toughest thing to learn. I voted for dream of our fathers. That is really tough to p...

I got the first part about switching the order around. As for the 4-5-7, are you implying I play 4 16th notes on each of those notes, or 4 32nd notes, or am I completely lost?
