I had this problem once too. It's kind of hard to explain without pictures, but I'll try. When you're holding your pick, make sure you're not holding it too far away from your palm. Your stroke (yeah haha) should be very similar to as if you were going to do a palm mute, just with your hand far enou...

Someone who taught me alot about what I now know about guitar insisted so much on me using a pick more that he taped one inbetween my fingers every single time I practiced with him. It helped a ton. Just something to keep in mind if you find it hard to get used to at first. (Just make sure you tape ...

Heavy handed meaning do you give your strings hell, or are you gentle like a finger picker. To answer your question, no it isn't harder to learn how to play, heavier guages just tend to make bends and such a little more difficult.

Soak the dampit in cool water (filter it if you have hard water to make the dampit last longer) and then squeeze out the excess water. Wipe it dry and then attach the pen style hook to the plastic soundhole cover it comes with. Lay the dampit through the soundhole and then slide the cover under the ...

The first thing my dad made me do when I turned 18 was apply for a credit card. He owns a mortage company so he knows the importance of credit, and boy am I happy I actually did what he told me for a change. But if you're starting to build credit, one of the easiest ways is to get a joint card with ...

Professionally Set Up

What do luthiers all do to your guitar when they 'set it up'. I know they can lower the action, and I would like my lowered a bit. Who here has had this done, is it worth the money, and how much does it usually run?

Well that sucks, you can rollback to wmp9 with system restore considering you upgraded recently. Otherwise theres a registry hack to remove the beta version, do a google search on "uninstall windows media player 10".

T, beware of the wolves.

ES was a financial decision for Taylor, not a quality decision. Remember everyone, building guitars is a business, then an art.

And no I'm not biased, I own an ES equipped guitar.

Something fun for the seasons

Christmas Song. Check out my AIM getfile: duckSooop A little something to add to Christmas Song, especially effective with two guitars, one playing the standard way and one playing this way. I'm sure you all can figure out the tab, if not, just follow the tab on this site and the only part that diff...
