This is the best one out there, it is cheaper too. The dampit can damage your guitar, the Planet Waves doesn't touch the wood at all.

If you roll your strings up at the head instead of cutting them it could be where the extra string is laying. I have the same problem with my high e string so i have to cut that one and the rest are rolled up if that makes any sense. I cut them off. I hate having that big coil flopping around every...

I know the string isn't slipping because I've been keeping an eye on the extra bit that sticks out and its not moving. Could be your truss rod needs some adjusting. THis site should help http://www.fretnotguitarrepair.com/trussrods.htm also, if you recently changed to a lighter guage string that could be the problem. The buzzing could be that your truss rod needs adjustment and not that your fingers are indented.
