I went to both nights at WPB, BOTH NIGHTS WERE AMAZING. Dave's voice didn't matter-- the only thing wrong with both nights was Can't Stop. Rashawn was amazing-- Leroi and him duelling on crush in the first night was just intense...

edit: these things will probably take a long time to DOWNLOAD as well, but they are worth it i promise. Hearing leroi dig in against trey in 95 is just spectacular

ok, im also putting up the jimi thing from west palm beach 2004 (i was there). Leroi's solo is supreme jazz, and daves guitar solo falls to shit in a funny way and he says "i give up on this six string shit" right as he begins his scat.

thanks! i love all jimi things. Nowadays the jams are so jazzy, and i love hearing how the different guests interepret the jam. My favorites are the jimi from bonarroo 2005 (warren haynes), and the jimi thing from 7-30-05 with trey anastasio, oh, and the trey one from 1995, that one is great too, hi...

gumbo, I play a wide variety of music, but you got my style pretty close. I have played slide guitar for a while now aswell, but only find satisfaction in alternative tunings with slide (which is annoying because I'm constantly retuning). I also dont think a frettless is that alike to slide guitar....

he's very classical. listen to Rheginios and ressurection (sp) , the Wayfarer, and things like And Then they were Free and things like that... he has the profficiency of one-- and his finger techniques are classical indeed.
