Tim and Rashawn have done a pretty good job of making this band unlistenable to me

Get rid of the screeching trumpet/saxophone runs and Zeppelin rip-off overdrive and I think this band could make interesting music again

Belly Belly Nice is fucking awful

He's playing for Dave half the time instead of playing somewhere in the background. Most of the songs on Big Whiskey feature Tim's guitar more than Dave's. I don't know if Dave is lazy or what, but their sound definitely suffers

Fool To Think is my favorite song to play. Two really cool, distinct riffs, great melody, challenging (especially the chorus). Underrated song, IMO

Yeah that stuff is bullshit fluff. But the parts where they rehearse and decide the setlist are pretty cool to see

lol at thinking DMB could or would ever do anything like what Radiohead did. Thom Yorke hated being acoustic guitar, melody writing frontman guy. Dave Matthews is the prototype for that. And they're all perfectly comfortable with it.

The best songs to come from the Big Whiskey sessions weren't even on the album (Beach Ball, Little Red Bird, Write A Song). Lying In The Hands of God is probably the only song on the album I wouldn't skip if it came up on my iPod
