How do you figure out time signatures for a song. Let's say something I wrote has a strumming pattern of...

D = Down

U = Up

X = Muted

D U X X D U (Figured I'd keep the pattern simple so it's easier to understand)

How would you figure out what time signature that's in?

He uses the Gm pentatonic 3rd position (it may be the 2nd position, I can't remember positions...it starts on the 3rd fret though...) and he uses the Am 5th pentatonic (I do know that position however.)
