I have one of these and it is nice. Fits right in that 200-300 range, its worth it. I have a 414ce i use on it and its a lot better plugged in.

Yeah, a few people have mentioned that to me and i've played around some and it seems fairly true. So i am probably going with a newer guitar probably a hd-28v or a d-28 marquis.

sick finally picked one eh lol.... yeah that top is awesome, the 914ce i saw Dave play earlier this year had a top like it. i just got approved for 2500 credit line.. probably going to go buy a guitar hah

im in SD and i went up to buffalo brothers and i really liked the d-60 larivee sounded better than the hd-28, but i dont like the abolone inlay on the rosette. i thought the hd-28v sounded better than both though

They did make a brazilian 7 series with there 25th anniversaries, not sure about this 1997, and for the price being to low a 810-B went for 2000 on ebay last week. have you guys played brazilian rosewood though? i've played a 69 d-28 with brazilian (well no shit its going to sound better than the taylor) but the brazilian wood was what really made it sound good. still you cant even compare a 69 d-28 with a 97 taylor but my point is brazilian rocks

i dont know which one to choose and its driving me insane hoh, just thought id let you know for the hell of it! (and no this is not martin vs taylor cause i like em both the same) i have a 414ce and its not very loud and the sustain isn't very good either, even after adding FWI saddle and bridge pin...

i dont care about the herringbone i think it looks ok, but the 1/4" forward shifted scalloped bracing on the hd-28v makes me poop myself it sound so good, its like the brown note from south park

most the time people think taylors are easier to play. i own a 414ce and my friend owns a 410 and they sound pretty good but martins are uber sweet, im selling my 414ce and buying a hd-28v asap
