There are plenty of books out there that can help. Keep It Simple Series for guitar and Guitar for dumbies are good starting points for getting the basics and stuff. This site is a good source as well. and of course tons of practice.

RD20's are great beater guitars. I bought for $100 off a friend who got it for a present and never played it. I like mine, nothing great or fancy. Its great guitar to take on road trips and camping etc...

I use EXP's and I like them they work fine for me and last a long time. Elixers are good I just got to save money where I can.

I bought L@LC when it first came out just on a whim because I didn't have a dave CD and I liked a few of his songs I heard on the radio like Ants and WWYS. Once I popped that bad boy in I was blown away. A year or so later I started dating this girl who was in love with Dave and that is why I starte...

I thought this was gonna be a great story or something... guess not. That type of stuff happens all the time with the average Dave fan, they can hardly name a song other than ants marching or one of the other radio played songs.

If you want to get the basics down fast I'd say lessons will help, at least a few. I never had lessons and I learned by reading books and this site and other sources. Just depends I guess but you can definately do it on your own.

There could be many different reasons why this guy just played it the exact way as L@LC. You walked in on this guy's little party maybe you should've just layed low in your playing instead of trying to solo all over the place.

hmmm..... It was the first song I learn by Dave too, doesn't mean its easy.
