try "John Pearse" strings. i just put them on my guitar not long ago after experimenting with ALL the forementioned strings: deanmarkley blue, elixir, D'add exps, martins, etc... i've found that this one kills them all on tone. as for the strings' durability, i can't testify. but so far so good. how...

Played which? seagull guitars? seagulls are actually very nice guitars. they have a slightly less full sound, but my god they are bright and comfortable to play. They're Canadian-made and have great craftsmanship. More than that, check out the ESP case that seagull also markets, its a inject molded ...

i tried a set of alchemy's... they were goldbronze mediums... they sounded QUITE awesome at first, and they did last a good long time. Not the comfiest thing to play, but thats personal opinion. I sure do agree with the ugliness factor though. They were ugly enough as yellow strings, but even uglier...

that thing looks identical to my friend's fender guitar, every detail is the same minus the insignia on the top and inside the guitar.
