I liked the Sugar Will at Bonner much more than the version at UMB. I agree that Hello Again is my favorite of the new tunes. The new stuff seem to be evolving nicely.

If I had my way I would have added You Never Know and Billies, but I am by no means complaining. It was a great time!

I kinda liked the chill set closer. Less road rage in the parking lot afterwards. :)

The show was a Tripping Billies away from perfection. I really like the way the new stuff is coming together. Everything was much tighter than at the opener at UMB. Some of the jams were just incredible!

Once you 'feel' the rhythm in that song it just seems to lock in and it's so much fun to play. One of my favorites. I second the idea of using the storytellers vid to get it down.

I think the guy in the first review has some credibility, given that he has a FENDER STRATOCASTER VINTAGE from the 1880's....

900 series don't come stock with pickguards usually, but you can request them from the factory or have a dealer put one on for you. I'm not sure if Dave has one on his 914 or not, but for $4 and a call to Taylor, anyone can have one :)

Call up Taylor Customer service (the number is on the website). They sell them for like $4 and will ship one to your door. They are a bitch to put on though, because it's so easy to get little air bubbles trapped under them as you put it on and you can see them, obviously, with a clear guard. With a...

The V neck is one of those things that people seem to love or hate. I just can't work with a V neck, so I got a regular HD28. Some great players I know love them though, so YMMV. Play both side by side and take the one home that feels most comfortable.

Herringbone is the style of trim used to bind the top of the guitar. Its the alternating white and black pattern on the plastic binding. The 'HD' designation means that the guitar has scalloped bracing. So the strips of wood glued to the underside of the top to give it structural strength are shaved...

I was told by a good guitar tech that the Keysers can cause excessive fretwear due to how much clamping tension they use. I prefer the Shubb Deluxe myself.

musicians really give other musicians shit for using a capo, I dont see the point in that, I see no harm in it and I love that song Sometimes musicians can be dumbasses. Using a capo is like using an ebow, different thickness picks, or even different brands/styles of guitar. The point is to get the...

Sometimes that's the only thought that will get you through playing the same song for the 50th time in a row to get it 'just right' :) Good luck man!

[quote]when you're buying a guitar that costs 1500+, you may as well have it suit your playing style exactly. if you bought a martin and you thought the action was a bit high, tell your dealer you'd like a professional setup. many places will do them for free when you buy the guitar. What exactly i...
