I generally don't agree with the SM57 statement since there are other, less peaky solutions out there. Everyone knows that SM57's have a nasty peak in the upper frequencies and especially with feedback noises. Now, if you can find the SM59's from '93 and before...grab 'em. Here is what I think... $0...

Before you buy it, plug it in first and see what it sounds like miked. I've only liked about half of the Taylors I've ever heard plugged in without any major sound manipulation, ie Avalon, Fishman EQ Pre-amp, etc. I'm not completely dogging them I'm just saying be careful. If you're going to spend t...

Stick with the Polywebs if you're going to use the Elixirs. Nanowebs have been nothing but terrible in my experience. They have a much thinner coating on them and if I'm going to spend $14 (which I don't, thank you for friends) they had better last longer than the average string. Personally, I stick...

Full WWYS Tim solo
Someone suggested I post it here so be it. If it doesn't belong here, please delete it, move it, whatever. I guess just copy it, paste it, call it your own. Doesn't matter to me. If it doesn't copy correctly, I'll see if I can put it on the net somewhere. Enjoy. I have other stuff if anyone needs it...

Where to submit tabs? (WWYS + Minarets; Tim)
I have the whole WWYS Tim solo figured out if you want to add it to the rest of what is already there. Actually, I figured out pretty much (85-90%) of all of Tim's parts in that song if you'd like.
I also have Minarets and a few others.
