Original song... Feedback please! Thanks :o

Did a live acoustic recording of an original song of mine called "Destination Unknown"

I'm told it channels an odd mix of Elvis Presley, Dave Matthews, and John Mayer???????????

Hmmm...

Sounds like me to me

Thanks, I'm gonna be in England the next week and a half or so, when I get back I'll try to get everything finished up. I'm looking at having EVERYTHING done by April. Hopefully the art work, cd duplication, packaging, and whatever else will be finished as well around that time.

You shouldn't have to sign up :? Glad you did though anyways, you can vote for me ;) heh heh I guess the main thing about the full version of "Tall" is I approached the vocals a little bit backed off compared to my crazy strumming acoustic version vocals :o I hope the decision worked out well, I've ...

Thanks

As for my voice, according to my friend it's John Mayer meets Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson puts his 2 cents in

Lol, he seriously thinks at different times I sound like all 3 of them which is real cool, or slightly bizarre

Original: "Tall" with lead guitar now :-)

This is a bluesy rock experiment of mine :D I added the lead guitar to my old mix. Levels still needed adjusted, but I think this is a pretty decent basis. EDIT: Link would be useful http://www.soundclick.com/bands/0/jcreedmusic.htm Click on the first Tall listed. That one is the rough mix with a le...

Just read a John Mayer quote that kind of serves this thread

"You guys are so cynical when it's generally
useless, but somehow stop right before your cynicism would serve you. I'm
laughing at you because I love you."

I would guess that fat's first recording post was made with the current skill level he was at instead of trying to JUMP into something beyond his ability at the time. All speculation on my part :o

[quote="i like tictacs"]One more thing. Knock on wood isn't a technical marvel or anything EXTREMEEELLYYY difficult. He has two necks, thus can tap easily and not get in the way of the other hand, and tapped harmonics are easy as cake. Although it is a joy to listen to, it's nothing to wad your pan...

Honestly I don't see how it was all that repetitive considering I arranged it in the following... verse 1 verse 2 chorus verse 3 jam bridge chorus bridge chorus I thought that it was broken up pretty well for an acoustic performance song :o As for the John Mayer influence, I listen to him about the ...
