I actually agree with you on something Filmdude :) My guess is that it evolved into a jam or an interlude on BTCS... or even multiple jams if Dave had a near-complete song. I think if it was on Some Devil somewhere, it would have either been leaked (intentionally or not) or alluded to by Dave in an ...

Willin, that's your opinion, and thats cool with me. I dont care how good Vai is and how much he knows and how many solos he's done... he's still not Tim. Tim = AWESOME! :D

Jayme's right. For the quick notes, you've gotta alternate and there is that little pause, there, too. And for what it's worth, the 2-3-2 part, I play basically as hammer on's, but... not. You know what I mean? Wow, sorry, that was the worst explanation ever, but I hope it helps you some.

I had a song kinda like that a while ago that I wrote, messed around with and I used these chords for the chorus. X32010, X33010, X33211 They're all pretty similar in tone; they're C, a weird C# kinda deal, and F/F#, but if you strum them slow and with a little "sparkle" and some cool timing it come...

Hate to bust your balls, Filmdude, but he's not gonna tell you if he hasn't told the world already. Thats just my opinion, though, knock yourself out. I'd love to see what would happen!

Thanks, mb! Yup, trust me, I'll talk 'em down :D I will check those companies out more in depth, though. I had quickly looked at them when I saw that they were Seagull "affiliates" if you will.

You know, guys, you've effectivly talked me out of this guitar, but I'm REALLY glad you did. MWR, I understood what you meant, but honestly, I didn't realize cedar wasn't well-suited for strumming. I knew it was a softer wood, but I didn't know it was soft to that extent. Anyways, I'm not getting a ...

Check this thread out. Notice Ranting's post and it gets into this discussion a little bit about MacHead. Winglet says he is convinced its JTR maybe a page later.

It's not that much of a difference. There are a lot of myths and overreacting in any hobby. If you manage to break the cedar wood by strumming, then I want your autograph. However IMHO spruce often feels nicer when smooching the guitar (I do that, don't ask.). It's kinda like this, no matter what w...
