At the Univeristy of Iowa I took a Fundamentals of Music course. Said it was beginners with music, and I knew my circle of fifths, modes, and other types like that and I still learned a ton. I tried getting in a 3 person guitar class, but it was music majors and it's main focus was heavy jazz stuff....

About to purchase my first electric guitar. And decided to spend around 400 on a fender strat. I was wondering what you guys prefer for the neck. People on the net say the maple is smoother and the rosewood is "smokier." anyone have their own opinoins. Any strat guitar you guys prefer in the 400 ran...

I'm learning these now in my Fundamentals of music class. We say trip-a-let. Our professor constanly reminds us not to think of it as 2 eigth notes and a quarter note. Constantly think trip-a-let.

Ive noticed my low e is rattling more and more. My action is quite low. So to all the people with low action, is there a middle. I want to keep my action low but cant play with the buzz. Can I raise it a little without making my left hand adjust to the new level. Fire away. Thanks in advance.

Playing half a step down? Learn the whole show that Kurt Cobain did at his unplugged. First off, the whole show is fucking awesome. His progressions arent that hard and the alubm just fucking rules. Tuning down matches his dark voice...and the album is fucking awesome.
