Thanks for the replys everybody! To answer Blue Waters question, the guy singing Typical Situation is not me. It is my friend Deuce. He is also the one playing the lead guitar parts on some of the songs. To hear more of his stuff go to http://www.southporterband.com

Check out my cover of The Maker using Pro Tools

I just got a Pro Tools system in my house and tried it out on The Maker. It was just a test run to see if I could figure out how to record something using Pro Tools. Let me know how it sounds. Have mercy on the song though, I screwed up the end of it. Thanks!

Looking for a lead guitar player in Louisville, KY

I am looking for a lead guitar player in the Louisville area that would be interested in playing at some small venues. I mostly play DMB covers but can play others. If anyone is interested, please check out http://www.cpowellonline.com to hear some covers that I recorded. Thanks!

Midnight sounds great! Has anyone decided if there is going to be just 1 cd or will there be one for DMB covers and another for others?

I would like to nominate one of my own covers. My friend did the vocals and the lead guitar part for this one.

just to let everyone know, the vocals on Typical Situation were done by a friend of mine. That is the only song that I didn't do the vocals on. My friend that did the vocals for that one also played all of the lead guitar.

As far as long black veil, I recorded it live with a friend and he played the lead part. He kicks Butt!! He also did the vocals and lead for Typical Situation.

The solo parts in typical situation were just improvised by a friend of mine. All of these songs were recorded live in a friends studio. I don't think he got the solos from a tab, he just made them up. As for the strumming in the chorus I just played the open chords G F Am C D.
