oh yeah: I don't have a Les Paul (am praying to all that is holy that one miraculously appears in my drawer soon); Strat's at the shop- will try it out on my Dano though (God help me with the .11s)

suggestions for SRV tone...

without actually getting fender twins, jumbo frets on a '69 strat...

and all you can use are the tone knobs (guitar and/or amp and/or fx rig) and a KORG AX1000-G...

does Dunlop still chug out them black Tortex picks? :( haven't seen one here since '95- i've turned to the purple ones (i forget the thickness) in their absence... the light ones (green) sound great if you want that 'chucka-chucka' rhythm interspersed with your chords.
