Signe from the Eric Clapton Unplugged album is a really cool instrumental...it's fingerpicked too. It's not too tough to learn if you know the basics of fingerpicking.

hmm. Good SRV songs...? I don't know any... anyone care to send me some suggestions? :D Crossfire, Little Wing (a Hendrix song, but he does a really cool cover of it), Texas Flood, Pride and Joy, Empty Arms--these are all great songs that showcase his talent. If you were looking to buy just one CD ...

BTW, I love that SRV Austin City Limits DVD.....Watching him play instead of just listening reinforces...

I have a red one, and I love it (for a $200 guitar). I don't remember seeing a butterscotch color last summer when I bought mine. I'm sorry you have to sell yours. That would be like losing a member of the family for me (almost).

I started by taking lessons through a guitar store by my house. I went through 3 different teachers (they kept quitting on me  ), and they all helped me improve, but I don't think they taught me anything I couldn't have learned on my own. A lot of times for the lesson, I would just bring in a ...

Thanks for the advice guys. It sounds like I need to check out some Ibanez basses. I just bought an Ibanez GAX70 for my first electric over the summer, and I've been very happy with it, so maybe Ibanez is the way to go. I'll have to get over to Guitar Center and play some of these so I can have a ni...

Help with buying a first bass

I've been reading these boards for a while (as a new poster, I feel i should say how great this site is, too :D ), and I figured I would start posting some too. I've been playing guitar for about 4 years now, and now I'm looking to get a bass so I can play in my school's pep band. I'm looking to spe...
