Re:
Originally I wanted to put the tapping part solely on piano but had trouble playing it the way I wanted (I wanted sustain in certain parts of the phrase but not in others). I figured if I ever record it in a studio, I'd either have someone play it on violin or another instrument that would have it ...

Re: new original song
Wow, man, this song is really good. Its simplicity really makes it work. I absolutely agree with the death cab vibe...but i think your voice also has a little bit of a Teitur sound to it. Very mellow. Very good. I'd buy your music.

No problem, man. Yeah, I have the same shyness problem. I lucked out though because I had a couple of people that I was able to get together with to play stuff, and playing open mic nights with a couple of friends on stage with you is way easier to do.

Re: Ryan Adams- La Cienega Just Smiled Cover. Please critique
Hey man. This isn't too bad at all. I am just hearing a voice with out a whole lot of confidence behind it. I am far from an expert on singing at all, but what I have found works out for me is to either take the song that I am trying to do and drop it or raise it half or a whole step to see if I can...

[quote="drakemh"]I have the dvd, and he never changes guitars, and there aren't any others by him on stage. Unless he has some off stage and the dvd just doesn't show him changing guitars, it's in dadgad. I don't think it cuts out him changing guitars either, cause it leaves in all the stupid shit ...

I totally agree that the transition is awkward...I have been looking for a way to get back into the 6/8 part a little more smoothly but with no luck. The more we play the song, though, the more I kind of like the awkward transitions, but that is probably just me subconsciously throwing in the towel,...

Video for new song on YouTube! (new video added)
Hey kids! My friend and I have been writing some new songs this summer and we decided to do a cliche YouTube recording of us playing one of the songs. It is called "Still." For some reason the bass in the recording ended up sounding really weird, so if you can get past that, the obviously Dave inspi...
