Re: waverly tuners
in my opinion, waverlys are the best. You can feel good and hold your head up high knowing you have the best in the market in my opnion ahah. However, you can get grovers for about 1/4th the price which I can not really tell a difference in from waves. What tuners does your guitar come with? Are you...

Re: Got a Martin HD-35
If your looking for a cheap at home acoustic amp I would look into this http://www.zzounds.com/item--IBATA35 I have played through that a few times and it is a very good amp for the money. You could pick up a used DL4 for around 150-175 maybe and that would leave you with a solid $1500 for a guitar....

Re: Best Martin under $3500
you should check out the 18s if your into mahogany. The standard, vintage, or GE are all spectacular in my opinion. Theres a pretty significant difference from rosewood to mahogany. It might be something to think about. For sure good luck and like others have said, let us know what you get!

I may be interested in a mic stand or cables. Any details worth sending my way? Type of stand/brands/length of cables? Etc.

Re: Martin DC-16GTE Premium - Pics and Sound Clip Posted!
Medium strings gave it more acoustic sound. It is an Acous/Elec, so plugged in the light strings would be fine. Don't worry about bridge lifting; it's designed for Medium. I suspect that it comes with lights, just becasue they are easier to play and sound fine plugged in. Absolutely no bridge lifti...

Re: Martin DC-16GTE Premium - Pics and Sound Clip Posted!
I bought a Martin DC-16GTE Premium a year ago almost to the day. I paid $1369 at Amherst Guitar Gallery in NH. Those guys are great and they had quite a selection of Martins, Taylors, and Gibsons to test out. Like you, I fell in love with the sound of this guitar. I plugged it into a Fishman amp th...

Re: Martin DC-16GTE Premium
I have this guitar except it's the rosewood model. I couldn't be happier with it. The tone is o so sweet and the electronics are solid. I recommend the phosphor bronze elixer strings. I never played the mohagany version but I've never been a big fan of that type of wood anyway. Pretty good if you c...

Re: Martin DC-16GTE Premium

Re: Martin DC-16GTE Premium
Hey man, I have that exact guitar. I would go ahead and get it. I saved for a long time for it as well ahah and am still paying my dad back. I know its not the most expensive of expensive but it sure does what I want it to. I dont know if you have had a chance to demo rosewood vs. mahogony, but it d...

its interesting knowing what everyone elses views are regarding something as simple as a guitar pick. I asked cause like I said I find there is a difference in the sound. Its almost like a scraping sound i desire?? Whats the reason behind artists' using a pick holder on their mic stand with 5, 6, or...

guitar picks
how long do you guys typically keep your guitar picks? I find after a few hours of use with my tortex .73 dunlops, I lose the woody, dry sound the pick produces. All thats left to my ears is a mellow tone with no definition. Just curious what some of your answers are!
