Drum tabs do exist. In any case where time and finances allow, I recommend a teacher. The practical is of course important but too many musicians neglect the theoretical side of music now days. I've just been told that http://www.mxtabs.net is a good place to get drum tabs. Tell your buddy to keep a...

For DMBNova
Here's the tab for Spoon. It's a basic song so i'm just going to give you the skeleton. Stefan doesn't go nuts in this song, it isn't necessary. I tabbed it so you don't have to transpose but when I play this I use my B string as much as possible to really get a muddy feeling going with the song. DM...

Captain Tab, Busted Stuff version, Part I
Hey guys, i'm gone for the weekend but I didn't want to leave you hanging with nothing. Here's the first part, have fun with this and i'll do the rest when I come back. You gotta have really fast fingers to play this but practice slowly and build up your speed. By playing the song you will see the s...

Well off the top of my head Bela Fleck & The Flecktones - Big Country O.A.R. - Dareh Meyod Sublime - Santaria Oh Jesus, Santeria. LOL. I used to love to play that tune but we overplayed it so much that if I told the guys if we play it one more time i'd shoot myself. We compromised and incorporated ...

Favorite non-DMB songs to play?
Of the top of your head, what are your personal favorites to play? I'd have to say that, for the moment, mine are: 1. Sour Girl - Stone Temple Pilots 2. Earth Jam - Bela Fleck ( CRAZY, CRAZY, CRAZY) 3. Everything You've Done Wrong - Sloan 4. No Such Thing - John Mayer 5. Stuck In The Middle - Steele...

[quote="Rick_E"] Captain isn't on any albums. I read about all the Lillywhite stuff, man talk about being kept out of the loop, I gotta follow the news more, hahaha!!! Actually, Captain is on stefans best album, Busted Stuff. Although, deff not the best album by the whole band by any means, the bas...

Very sweet, thanks. Lillywhite source, right? Sure seems like it, heh. Yeah, that's the version I found on the net. Call me a hypocrite but I hate downloading DMB MP3s but will download any other bands stuff without any guilt. It ticks me off to pay 25$ for a CD with only one good song on it when b...

Well here ya go. I think i'm gonna play around with this tonight though and spice it up a little. As you can see it's a pretty basic bassline but it does the job in the song. That interlude leaves room for a nice bass solo  PLEASE FEEL FREE TO DO WHAT YOU WANT WITH THIS TAB. Format it for e...

Captain Bass Tab
Although I love this song, the actual bassline is pretty boring. It took me 10 minutes to figure out the roots and fills. Do you guys just want that or do you want me to give you something interesting to play?
It's your choice, this is for you after all.

My bass
Rick your bass looks pretty cool, what is it? That's a Washburn XB-500. I swear by them. They're not cheap, not too expensive and they've got active electronics which saves me from lugging around my amp to small clubs. I just go from my BOSS GT-6B straight to the sound board and use an in-ear monit...
